We are having a day of cutting, collecting and conserving!

Help us to cut back the brambles all around our site, and while we are at it we can be ready with buckets to collect the many tasty berries that we have that are ripe and ready to be harvested. We have lots of blackberries and elderberries on site, and we might have a go at cherry jam as well if the birds haven’t eaten them all by then… These can be used in the jam-making session and there should be enough for everyone to take a jar of freshly made jam home. Any extra jam we will sell on our open day on September 11th.

The day will run from 9:30 - 3:30ish (or until the jam is ready)on the 6th of August. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but please bring a packed lunch. Wear old clothes that you don't mind getting mucky, and dress for the weather. Please get in touch  to let us know if you're planning to come along - drop us a line on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. DAVID HOLMGREN'S PRINCIPLES OF PERMACULTURE DESIGN

Creatively use and respond to change

"Vision is not seeing things as they are but as they will be" - We can have a positive impact on inevitable change by carefully observing, and then intervening at the right time.
